Join GHPA

Since 1978, Greater Houston Preservation Alliance has promoted the preservation and appreciation of Houston's architectural and cultural historic resources through education, advocacy and committed action. GHPA is the one organization dedicated to the preservation, revitalization and continued use of Houston's historic resources. Your membership in GHPA helps ensure that historic preservation has a voice in Houston as our city enters a crucial new phase in its economic and cultural development.

The concerns that GHPA addresses are shared by all Houstonians, not just those who live in older neighborhoods or who own historic properties. Urban revitalization and economic diversification, defense of neighborhood integrity and authenticity of place, preservation of green space and protection of historic resources are among the most critical issues we face. By joining GHPA, you are making a positive impact on quality of life throughout Houston.

GHPA's recent history has been marked by exceptional growth, giving us a broader reach and a wider audience than at any time in the organization's history. Our members and volunteers, supported by our professional staff, are committed to preserving the best of Houston's architectural and cultural heritage.

We who share a common vision for our city's future must speak with one voice so that our elected officials will know how deeply we care about our community and its history. GHPA has long been a strong advocate for better public policy and protection of our shared heritage. With your support, we will advance GHPA's enduring legacy of advocacy and achievement for the benefit of all Houstonians.

Sincerely,

Ramona Davis
