The JPMorgan Chase Building has been the home of Greater Houston Preservation Alliance for the past 15 years, but this award honors a far longer-term tenant.

George Strake's father moved in to Jesse Jones' original office in 1931. In 1961, George occupied the office and continues to maintain its configuration from Jones' day. We're also recognizing George Strake's generous support of Greater Houston Preservation Alliance and its Walking Tour Program. He has gone beyond the call of duty again and again by opening his office during GHPA's public walking tours of the building.

This special Good Brick Award honors Strake for his commitment to the building and his generous support of GHPA, especially the Walking Tours Program.

Next winner: JPMorgan Chase
